| "It
is important to provide a link between urban and
rural life styles." |
The
Donnell family is hostinged school field trips and farm
tours because we believe it is important to provide a link
between urban and rural life styles. We love our farm tradition.
We enjoy teaching children and introducing them to the
interesting aspects of life on the farm. We are committed
to teaching the importance of agriculture and contrasting
the agriculture of the past with today’s high-tech
agriculture. It is because of this rich agricultural heritage
and the commitment to provide opportunities for hands-on
farm experiences, that we begin this new venture that is
both FUN and EDUCATIONAL.

DONNELL CENTURY FARM John Donnell settled this farm in 1834. In 1976, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture designated our Donnell Farm a Century Farm and awarded us a Century Farm plaque.
To be listed as a Century Farm the farmers must have worked land that has continuously belonged to their families for at least 100 years!
